With this year being Hamilton County’s Bicentennial, the Hamilton County Family Fun Day planning committee decided that we should continue with this theme, and therefore gave FFD a “birthday” theme. What we didn’t plan on was a power outage and rain. However, shortly before the event began, the power was restored and the rain cleared!
Over 400 people attended this year’s event, many of whom took the time to visit the twenty-nine tables. Area agencies and businesses brought activities and information for their tables, keeping children entertained while distributing information to adults.
We were able to give away seventy-five gifts from sixty-four donors. In addition, we were able to give ten large prizes as well. A special “thank you” to all of the people, agencies, and businesses that donated and/or participated in FFD. We were also excited that the Town of Indian Lake was able to send a bus-load of people to the event. For the sixth year in a row, this was a fun and exciting, substance-free family event!
